SOUTHERN INDUSTRIAL CONSTRUCTORS / SOUTHERN CRANE RECEIVES NATIONAL SAFETY AWARD 

RALEIGH – Southern Industrial Constructors and its wholly owned subsidiary, Southern Crane, recently was awarded a “Certificate of Commendation” by the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), the nation’s oldest and largest construction trade association.   

The award recognizes Southern Industrial for working 50,000 hours without any workplace safety incidents in 2006.   

As members of the AGC for more than 20 years, Southern Industrial has been actively involved with the organization at national and state levels. 

“At Southern Industrial, we are strongly committed to keeping our employees safe, so to be recognized for our workplace safety record is a true honor,” said Phil Hooper, vice president of safety and risk management. “It also motivates us to remain ever-vigilant in maintaining best safety practices.”   

Southern Industrial Constructors also was awarded the "Presidential Award" for outstanding safety performance in 2006 by the state chapter of the AGC, CarolinaAGC.
